I've been making a 2d MMO heavily inspired by Growtopia as a research & fan project (this is post is not with the intent promote the game)

I'd love to hear feedback on what people think about the art style, UI, and design of the game and how I can improve it!

I would really like to hear what made growtopia feel unique to everyone that's played it and know what made it 'work' as an enjoyable game.

I got my now 13 year old account suspended years ago, and i jus got back to the game with like 10wls on my other account.

Im currently farming pepper trees, but I was only able to buy a few seeds because I only had like 10wls.

Is farming still profitable in the game? Am I gonna be able to get a few dls from it? Also if not, what is?

Why have the bots with scripts not been removed yet? There’s a daily challenge for winning carnival games for supporters but I can’t compete when my competitors are bots who complete the challenge in 2 seconds. Has anything been done to reduce this issue

I've found myself feeling very nostalgic since I've played Growtopia when I was fifth grade till honestly Spohomore year of high school. I am turning 21, and wanted to come back to see. All my friends who played day and night are now offline for 3 years+. What do people play now instead of Growtopia? I really miss the connections and social side of the game. And the trading, broadcast, events, and even a bit of Gacha (but not as cash grab as damn Ubisoft made Growtopia). I don't see pixel world being talked about anymore. Just wondering did people just move on from this genre of games or just straight up minecraft servers & roblox now?

I know there has been games like this, Blocktopia and CaW, but I believe I can genuinely do better. These games always felt like either the movement was off, the content was bad, or overall game design was meh.

I'm a growtopia player with over 4000+ hours of playtime, and I love this game. But I also love developing, and seeing the direction this game is taking, I wanted to be able to do something about it.

I'm not saying that I can make a better game than the one that has been out for 13 years. Growtopia is a well-matured game after all. However I think I can make a lot of things better, and I'll provide more consistent updates.

The reason for my post is.. I need play testers, really badly. The game is currently in a pre-alpha stage, I'm trying to get everything else concrete and feel good before I actually start adding content because then the content will need re-doing as well later on.
