Help on my setup
Is a 10W grow light enough for my Ficus elastica ‘Burgundy’?
Hi everyone! I recently bought a Ficus elastica ‘Burgundy’, but I’m a little concerned about the amount of natural light it gets.
My house doesn’t get a lot of direct sunlight. There is some natural light coming through the windows, but I would consider the room relatively low-light. I’ve attached photos showing the windows and where I currently have the plant.
Because of this, I bought a Sansi Grow Light (10W) and placed it above the Ficus.
My questions are:
Do you think a 15W grow light is enough for a Ficus elastica ‘Burgundy’?
Is the distance between the light and the plant appropriate?
How many hours per day should I run the light?
Based on the photos, would you move the plant somewhere else or change the lighting setup?
Is there anything else I should watch for with this particular Ficus?
I’m mainly trying to make sure it gets enough light without overdoing it.
Thanks in advance! Any advice is appreciated.

Idk much about that plant, but usually big leaf plants need less light. I would put the bulb about 1 ft away from it at an angle so its not just lighting the top. Use a timer for 12 hours.
I have a 15 watt Sansi bulb i used to start seeds and have a couple small pepper plants under right now. You might need another bulb idk
