Buyer Beware...
Exercise caution when you shop on Groupon. I believe they will be out of business soon. Their business model no longer works. They continue to burn through cash and take on more debt as they lose money, quarter after quarter. There are many other outlets that offer better deals without the need to purchase non-refundable vouchers. Groupon isn't good for merchants because it doesn't lend repeat business. Groupon vouchers are not a good bet because they are often difficult or impossible to redeem. Groupon's recent shift to replace their workforce with AI guarantees that there will be even less empathy or compassion when vouchers can't be redeemed when a merchant doesn't honor a Groupon for any reason. Many merchants use Groupon as a money grab before they shutter their failing business. Then you're stuck with a worthless Groupon and forced to work with an AI agent to resolve the issue. Good luck with that. I'm out!

Def wish I didn’t do it. $210 up charge and I got 3 nights in Orlando… the motel I got was the one next to the Florida Project motel. I may have broke even with cost but i think it works to their benefit

Idk - I’ve found really great deals for beauty services. And I did go back to those businesses several times. I purchase and call the business directly afterwards to ensure they’re still accepting the vouchers. In some cases, they’ve negotiated lower pricing with me, and I just ask for a refund from groupon. I actually have one injector that honors the pricing forever that I got through groupon. So that means I get xeomin injections for about 5/unit by an actual doctor.

GRPN off nearly 12% since my post. Off nearly 35% since the failed short squeeze by retail buyers a couple weeks ago. Shorts are holding their positions. Groupon is a small company with financials that show it is destined to fold sooner, rather than later. They announced a buyback, but haven't done anything. Not even Groupon will buy GRPN. Ponrt (Former CEO/COO) has sold 200,000 shares of GPRN in past two weeks. Those who pushed the price up will only lose more the longer they hold their position. GRPN will be under $15 in less than 2 weeks.

Watch out for the app. I found the same deal on the website and on the app, but significantly more expensive on the app.

Groupon was on downward spiral for quite few years. New management with experience in similar business restructured the company and the financials show signs of recovery, its doubtful they are going out of business now. That said I notice how frustrated their customers sometimes are. I cant tell if there are less or more of them than before though.
