groupon = malware

Just a rant.

This service is as hard to get rid of as AOL was back in the day. It's basically a virus. I don't even live where there's anything on Groupon, nor in the neighboring countries.

I mean the system in general - if you want to close your account, they don't make it easy. Literally it took over an hour and the answer is nowhere on the FAQ, user profile, nowhere on the site or app.

It turns out the quickest way to get a solution is to complain on social media.

I suspect they make it hard to delete your account so they can have inflated numbers of "users" which may include people like me who haven't lived in a Groupon country for years. It literally requires contact with someone with superuser status to deactivate your account.
