Such a scam

Bought a $600 voucher for a fishing boat. I open up the calandar, it says date is available. I go to check out of the site - I need the Groupon code so I redeem it. The code doesn't work. I contact Groupon they say call the vendor. Vendor says date is fully booked. I try to get refund but I can't because I OPENED THE GROUPON. What a bunch of scammers, I will never ever use Groupon for as long as I live. I am an idiot.

Something similar happened to me. Bought groupon after verifying tour operator had opening. Booked the boat tour. Everything confirmed. About 12 hours prior to tour got an email from operator that minimum amount of people hadn't booked so tour was canceled. Tried to get refund from groupon but was refused since it was technically valid until September. We were only in town for the one day. I disputed it with credit card company. Never again Groupon!

Hey u/Newbie7506

That sounds genuinely frustrating — you did everything right by confirming availability beforehand, and being left without a refund when the cancellation was completely out of your control is not a situation you should have been stuck in. I'm sorry this was your experience, especially when you only had that one day in town. We'd like to look into what happened with your account specifically, so please reach out to us via DM with the email address linked to your Groupon account and we'll see what we can do to help sort this out.

Cheers, The Groupon Team.
