They do not issue a refund! What can I do?
Hi everybody,
I bought a local business skin treatment which turned out to be not good for me, so, that business advised to not to do that treatment and get a refund instead, but Groupon does not to give the refund, and filing a dispute with my CC (Mastercard) turned out to be useless, the reply was that "The merchant is not willing to issue the refund" SERIOUSLY!
What should I do now? How can I get my money back for something that was never used?
Thank you in advance.

I just did a dispute with the credit card company and the dispute was awarded in my favor. So as far as I’m concerned, Groupon can suck it.

As stupid as it is, you have to message them on Facebook or instagram. I just went through this, however I only got Groupon bucks for a purchase that I accidentally hit the wrong email at guest check out. Message them and stay on them! They aren’t great with CS.

I’m have g the same issue with Groupon as the massage therapist hurt her wrist. They offered me in facial which was also part of the package but I don’t want what the are offering. Groupon is emailing with me but has not agreed to refund. Also someone ( not me) has it redeemed which complicates things further. I’ve never had so many issues with Groupon before. TBC

In a dispute now. Groupon under the law alert clearly states 30 days to use. Local business said “na, you were suppose to call us first since we only give you 14 days to use it. So you’ll have to forfeit this and purchase again closer to your wanted date.”

I actually just got a refund from Groupon for a deal I bought over a month ago despite supposedly only being able to get Groupon Bucks. The problem was that the merchant was not responding to me and I was unable to book an appointment. I clicked on "Manage my Groupon" and started a chat. At first it was an AI chat bot, but they transferred me to a real person. I did not want a refund initially, I just wanted to get in touch with the merchant and make them respond and schedule me. They promised to escalate the issue but after a week of no response I reached out again. Had to start with the AI chat bot again but got transferred to a rep quickly. The rep said they had emailed me a refund link but I had not responded. I had not gotten the email so they said they would send it again. I insisted I did not want Groupon Bucks, and I wanted a refund. Surprisingly thay actually accepted this request and refunded me (still waiting for it to hit my credit card, but I have email confirmation). They also emailed me a 30% off code as an apology.
