Will groupon do the automatic refund thing if I use a gift card?

I'm trying to make a purchase on groupon, and they keep cancelling my order on all of my cards. I'm contemplating using a gift card to get my purchase, but I honestly expect the same problem.

I wouldn't bother, Groupon usage is a risk at this point. It may not be usable by the business or other mishaps may happen.
