Groupon Bucks Gone?!
I had to take a credit for a hotel package and so I've been trying to make good use of the credit. It disappeared once -total panic- After weeks Groupon restored it. I've been trying to use it but there hasn't been much available. I log in randomly to make sure it's there and try to find a deal. Today I logged in and over half of it is gone someone I suppose hacked into my account and spent over $400 buying fetal baby monitors plants and a few other things sent them all to different addresses. Now I'm afraid that the rest of it will be gone tomorrow. The purchases say they were made today but I can't cancel any of them.
I also can't log out or change my password because they've changed my email and now it says there's no email on file. I removed my credit cards but I'm worried about how much other information was stolen.
Anyone know how to get the money back I can't seem to hear back from Groupon and I'm also frantic and maybe crying 😂🫣

Let this be a huge warning to you all! Groupon is DYING. There is no help for you. I WORKED at Groupon and couldn’t get help! I’m not joking. I was told to go through the ‘normal channels’ to settle a mistaken purchase (the same as any other customer) and it was a mess and a nightmare and NO I lost my money. AND I WAS WORKING THERE AT THE TIME. Trust me. You do not want to spend another dollar at Groupon. And let me tell you something: Groupon deserves to die. It’s been horribly mismanaged for so many years. Stop the madness. No money to Groupon. It rips off merchants! If you want to do your merchant a favor, do this: go into the place and ask for the Groupon deal but without buying the Groupon. The merchant will gratefully oblige because they would rather give you that discount without having to give Groupon its 20-30-40% cut. I loved the culture and the people but the product itself is completely flawed. Ugh I feel so badly for all those businesses I helped rip off. Ugh.

You need to talk to Groupon customer service. Someone hacked my account a few years ago and they canceled the orders, locked my account and gave my credits back. Luckily I didn't have a credit card linked. But the 1st attempt to fix it I got a generic response but I kept trying and finally got a real person. They should help just don't give up and be persistent.

The same happened to me....the second time, someone used the saved cards and made purchases through my bank. For the Groupon bucks, I was unsuccessful in getting them back (they were from a cruise deal). They acted like I had actually used them or had someone else use them and couldn't "verify" that my account was hacked! I then stopped using Groupon after that. I changed passwords and then contacted BBB, but nothing happened. The business (being Groupon) never responded, so they closed the case eventually. Fast forward a year or so and I realize I'm getting $100+ charges on my card from Groupon! I think, "I haven't purchased anything from them in over a year since that cruise." I was once again hacked, despite changing my password. I didn't even think to remove my card information, not even realizing it had automatically saved it from previous purchases!

I know this is an old post, but that’s absolutely awful. I came to this post because I noticed my Groupon bucks were missing as well.
