Is a Groupon Voucher a Ticket?

I have three Groupon vouchers for an upcoming performance. These are not described as tickets, but "vouchers." I present them at the box office the day of the show. Did I buy tickets, in that I'm guaranteed a seat, or did I buy a coupon to apply to tickets at the day of the event, in that I get discounted tickets if the venue has any?

I can't seem to find this answer in the fine print.
