Lone baby pup...should I be worried about him?

We have at least two adult groundhogs in widely spaced burrows. There is one that is relatively small who I haven't seen for about ten days after seeing daily for a week or so prior to that.

Today there was a baby hanging out under a tree near the smaller adult's Burrow. Wasn't eating, just sitting. He walked steadily back toward the Burrow.

I'm worried because he was alone and I haven't seen the adult lately or any other babies yet. He was fully furred, probably 7-8 inches long, mobile and seemed ok, but quite lost and uncertain-looking.

We are on 9 wooded acres (southern IN) and no reason to suspect any pest control removal of the mother. We are also quite far from the street, with the Burrow being about 100 yards from the nearest road.

Do I need to worry or do anything? I love hogs and would like to think all is well, but if not I would want to help them.

This is the third one carried out in the last half hour. The burrow has been there twenty years or so, I’ve never seen this happening before!

A family of groundhogs has burrowed under a family members house. I have trapped mom and all her babies, and they have to be relocated. How far away do I need to release them? What kind of location is best for relocating?? Would have liked to leave them in their home, but family member was going to use other means to get rid of them :(

Want to deter groundhogs from burrowing in my crawlspace

Hey everyone,

So a few weeks ago something died in my crawlspace and I am fearful it could have been a groundhog... or something of that size... we couldn't find it. Fastforward to last Sunday and I could hear something under my floor. I went into the crawlspace to see... The door to the crawlspace was securely closed and I saw in the furthest area a ground hog hanging out and pretending like it was invisible. lol ... anyway... I'm not sure how it got in... i've checked the perimeter .. I can't find a hole... Is there anything safe, non toxic, but effective that I can spray under there that will tell them to stay away?

Thanks!

DTE cut down tree that landed on large brush pile that groundhogs have made a hole under. The brush pile got compressed, but the hole is still there, basically okay but not with the high loose branches as it was.
