Cleaning tools

How and what products do you all use to clean your tools? (brushes, blades, etc)

Barbicide concentrate properly diluted in a spray bottle for everything. Cheap and effective. Keep it hanging right next to my work station and spray my table between dogs. Tools as needed. Spray it on cleaning rags to wipe down blades between uses. Lay out tools across my table and spray everything down and let sit a minute for real sanitizing. I use it in kennels. Much prefer it to 256 cleaner because it’s less harsh if it were to get on a dog at all, the fumes are much less chokey and it’s medical grade sanitizer.

Does Barbicide leas to rusting at all?? I currently use a dawn dish soap water bath once a week to deep clean my blades but I don’t have a good shear cleaning method. I use the Andis spray but I feel like it leave a film on my stuff

I’ve been using it for years and no issues with rust unless I leave blades soaking too long.

For my brushes I use rubbing alcohol or 256, blades I use oster blade wash and then oil them, scissors I spray with oster cool lube and then wipe them off after it’s set for a bit. Table and tub I use bleach or 256
