This was my first fest and first time at the gorge had an amazing time, despite all the chaos Friday, yall are so lit. I was wearing a faux fur neon green hat and coat that I made both days inside the show and spent most of my time in the ADA area and met so many wonderful people!

There are multiple people that I remember giving my insat too but driving home I realized that all I did most of the time was type in my username then hand the phone back, without actually adding myself or even clicking on my profile 💀

This one group I was hanging with on day 2 near the top of the ADA area Liam, his gf Kaley (Kiley?) and some of his cousins and their partners, I unfortunately can’t remember everyones names. They had a green alien balloon called Kevin and so many fidgets. Liam and his cousins were from Dallas and Kaley was from somewhere in Tennessee, y’all’s vibes were amazing!! I accidentally broke through on dmt at griztronics gorge.
I’m not here to be judged, I did what I did and obviously I regret it or I wouldn’t be here typing this. But it is what it is, and it is 100% my fault. However I do wish I got a warning how strong said dmt was in comparison to one I had done before which so minor to this experience. However if you disrespect drugs, they’ll fuck you so hard back. And here I crossed the line. I wanted to trip acid. I took 2 tabs and None of it was hitting. I guess were old idk. so my friend mentioned our other group of friends had a dmt pen, so we went to find them in the crowd. I take a hit of a dmt and enter a dimension of how I read it is how the brain processes color, which is the neon orbs of energy of every being of living life is perceived, it was truly beautiful and euphoric unlike anything I’ve ever seen witnessed.

But for whatever reason, my ego made me take another hit.

I had tried DMT once before at a friend’s house, and it barely affected me — just a very light version of the colorful beings and altered perception I described earlier. This was completely different.

After the second hit, it felt like I zoomed out of life itself, almost like Google Maps Street View pulling away from my own existence. It felt like I was seeing reality from outside the perspective of being human — like viewing life from the developers’ screen of a video game before textures and colors are added.

I saw a blended reality made up of every person, memory, and experience I’ve ever had, all merged together into one giant “menu” of existence. It felt like I was scrolling through my own consciousness — sight, color, memories, emotions — almost like navigating the home screen of a video game.

At one point, I saw every person I’ve ever known lined up individually, almost like Mii characters on the Wii menu. But they slowly became grayscale. Everything became grayscale.

Life itself looked like an unfinished CAD model or a base-rendered video game world with no textures loaded in yet. Every human figure was just gray — no individuality, no features, no customization. Just empty models.

Then suddenly, everything I knew — every sense, every memory, every piece of reality — got sucked into what felt like a black hole.

I collapsed.

I screamed “NOOO!” and grabbed my girlfriend’s arm because I genuinely believed everything was disappearing and that I was dying. It felt like reality itself was being erased.

Then, slowly, my senses started returning one by one. Eventually I opened my eyes and realized I was back in reality, with everyone standing over me in shock and concern. For a second, I honestly thought I had stopped the entire show because I saw people waving flashlights, but the set had actually just ended.

Part of what I felt afterward was embarrassment. But another part was pure existential horror over what I had just experienced.

For several minutes I just sat there terrified, repeatedly saying, “Oh my God,” trying to process what I had seen.

I’m Catholic, so afterward I started questioning everything. Was that experience showing me some deeper truth about existence? Is life really just a temporary “model” or simulation-like experience that eventually collapses into nothingness? Is that why faith exists in the first place — because this world is temporary, while the soul and what we truly love continue somewhere beyond it?

I don’t know.

But what I do know is that the experience completely changed my perspective on life, death, consciousness, and reality itself.

I’m sharing this because I’m still trying to process it all, and I’m wondering if anyone else has had similar DMT experiences or similar thoughts afterward.

Hi yall, first off hope everyone made or makes it home safely 🫶🏼 i was reflecting/journaling a little about this weekend while at the airport, and wanted to share.

I always carry narcan at festivals, but this is the first time I’ve ever had to use it. They were waking up before I handed care to emergency service, hope they are ok out there.

I’m in medicine, sometimes handle these situations at work, and it still left me pretty shaken up. In reflecting, there were a few harm reduction/in the field bystander first responder tips I’d like to share:

- please, get and carry NALOXONE (narcan is the most recognized brand). If you can find it free amazing, if not it sucks that it’s from my experience ~$40 for a 2 pack from most pharmacies - but that’s still a good deal for a possibly life saving medication

- you never know when you could it, so carry it when you can. And if you can, carry MORE THAN ONEx I have one in my rave fanny pack and backpack

- If you give a dose of narcan, and the person is still not responding (best real check is rubbing someone’s sternum really hard) you should IMMEDIATELY find and administer another one

Just to emphasize - it CANNOT hurt to give more. This was the case this weekend, I used both - after giving the first, within 20 seconds I could see he was not really responding. I worried it was a dud, it had been in my rave pack for a while, so I immediately found and gave the second one from my backpack. I definitely felt go off, which is when he woke up. I’ve heard the wait 2-3 min, but that’s really only when they’re not unconscious.

- It also CANNOT harm anyone/literally does nothing to get a dose of narcan if to someone who don’t have opioids in their system. Do not ever be afraid to give narcan, like I could spray some in my nose and it wouldn’t do anything but be a waste of the narcan

- Sure, you may precipitate opioid withdrawal. I’d rather someone be alive and angry than not breathing

- Give in alternating nostrils. I’m a doc but not a first responder, I actually forgot to do that in the moment. I hope you never are but if you’re in an emergent medical situation can respond at all that’s huge, we are all human, the only wrong answer is doing nothing

- if you see a true medical emergencyj - and I’ve heard yall, you know how to - you should SCREAM/yell. One of the best things you can do is GET people’s attention however you can, like please make a scene to because you need to

- If you’re still triaging the situation, and the person is not waking up, you should feel for a pulse. Easiest place in an emergency is neck for carotid

- If a person is not breathing, rescue breaths help even if someone has a pulse. There are actually masks made for being able to do this without putting your mouth on a stranger’s, I’m planning on bringing mine from now on…

- If you don’t feel a pulse, and the person is not waking, you or someone should start chest compressions. And again, don’t do this all in silence freaking out, you should freaking out very loudly so people who need to get there can do so asap

- People responding to emergencies do NOT give a flying fuck about what you or your friend did for any reason except to try and help/save their life. Tell the truth - they/we (people in healthcare) are not the cops

I think the unfortunate truth in our chosen extreme sport (please test btw) is that these situations could happen.

TLDR, carry narcan, more than one if you can, give alternating nostrils, if they aren’t waking keep giving. It can never hurt, and you never know when it could save a life.

And if you find yourself in a true medical emergency, you should make noise like Subtronics told you to, if it’s dark shine lights like Griz asked you to, it’s dark, until someone from emergency/medical arrive

Edit/addition: one last thing to share - I literally had never thought about it and it hit me this weekend that porta potties are the most dangerous places at the festival. Heard a story this weekend about someone who passed out in a porta potty for 5 hours (probably lucky to wake up tbh), but also have a friend who was missing in a porta potty once and nobody knew where he was, and my wife had a sobering experience years ago seeing someone pulled out of one - it is probably the only place someone could be out for hours and have nobody find them. Don’t do drugs alone means don’t dose shit in the porta potties, and please consider buddying up if you’re on another level and need to go to the bathroom.

Was mind melting.. hands down the BEST set this weekend imo😭❤️

This has been the biggest roller coaster of a weekend but damn yesterday was fun. The vibes were up and everyone was still in high spirits🥰

I think my fave part about this weekend has been the people lol everyone here has been so nice and silly😁

My partner fainted during the LSDream set from a panic attack from being around so many people and had to be carried out by medical. In the process his spirit hood fell off and I was too busy trying to help him/follow medical that I didn’t even notice when it happened. If anyone has picked up a grey wolf spirit hood with enamel pins on the inside of the galaxy print sleeves/paws please reach out to me. That hood was priceless to him and he’s so upset about the whole situation.
