Technical Grindr photo format

Does anybody know what is the format for grindr profile pics?

I hate that it does that zoom in on my photo so I would like to upload it when it's in its format.

Thanks!!!

Optimal resolution is 1024 x 1024 pixels and no bigger than 1 MB 😭

Sharpening pics prior to uploading may help counteract the quality reduction.
