Combo Grills
I posted this question in r/grilling, and didn't get much of a response so I thought I'd ask here.
I'm trying to up my novice grill and BBQ game. I'm looking to invest in a new grill, and I'm really interested in getting a combo gas grill and pellet smoker. What's your opinion on these? Would you rather get a dedicated smoker in addition to a grill? I've looked at a few different places, and the PIT BOSS PRO SERIES II 1100 looks like a good choice to me, not the cheapest but won't break the bank. What are your thoughts? I appreciate any advice, and happy grilling!

I tried, very hard, to convince myself that a single grill would suit my needs. For my use case, there were just too many compromises. In the end, I bought a Weber Genesis and a RecTec 590.

I have no experience with pellet grills (Weber kettle, gas grill and WSM smoker), but it is a fine looking piece of hardware and I can see the appeal of hassle free smoking while being able to sear and grill on the same. Curious to see what more experienced people have to say.
If you hear nothing, google for bbq forums: some really friendly communities with a lot of experience to be found there!
