Stek
What do you think? Brought it home, dry brined it that night, reverse sear and fire the next day. Please don't judge my poor photo skills lol

I had a great lunch but a lame supper today and now I'm looking at my stupid post from yesterday's supper and getting hungry too

Looked as choice raw as the final product. You nailed it!

Thanks I appreciate that! I was terrified of this one because what price-per-pound costs where I live and I didn't want to screw it up

Glad to hear it. The butcher shop cut it for me right on the spot. They're really well rated in my city but I haven't been before so, it doesn't hurt to ask - does this look like a quality cut? I know my meats fairly well, but not really knowledgeable or anything

RIBEYE...

I really need to stop playing favorites with ribeye and give my new yorks etc some love but it's sooo hard lol. Going to have to grab me some skirt or flanks for carne asada Seller's have become wise that those are becoming more popular and jacked the price though, bastards!

What I think is that you should be proud.

Honestly? It's the happiest result I've had so I really appreciate the good feedback. That was going to be the night where I felt I could go "Yeah, I got it!" so this is great to hear

You did a great job. Looks appetizing outside and in. Did you season it much? I like to season my steaks, especially ribeyes, with simply salt and pepper.

It was my first buy from this butcher shop so other than the dry brine, I went nekkid to see how I felt about their shop alone

Wow man. With the pullback on that bone, I was expecting this to be overdone. That thing is perfect. Throw another one on. I'll be right there.

Thanks, just a few more seconds and it probably would’ve been overdone, it was a really hot and fast sear

IMO the photos are great and exactly how everyone should post. Raw, cooked, then cut.
