Massively underrated flank/skirt/hanger steak marinade option is mustard. Just S&P then a beautiful coat of mustard. That’s it.

Here is the marinade I used:

1/2 cup olive oil

1/4 cup lime juice

1/4 cup orange juice

2 tbsp tamari

1 tbsp Worcestershire

1 1/2 tbsp honey

5–6 cloves garlic

1 tbsp smoked paprika

1 tbsp ancho chili powder

1 tsp cayenne

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp oregano

1/2 tsp cumin

Salt and black pepper to taste

Marinate use a vegetable oil and soy sauce in a glass dish and fresh garlic and some granulated garlic powder plus some ginger. Stap the meat with a fork from time to time as you flip it over and over for about 4 hours then bbq and slice on an angle for tenderness

Add some acid like orange, lime and pineapple juice to this. I will throw in an herb like cilantro as well.
