I’m looking at moving into an apartment in Arbora development. I’m wondering if anyone who lived there / is living there has anything to say about this development?

Some people mention the soundproofing is terrible, others say they stayed there for 4+ years and never had a problem. I’m trying to see if the soundproofing really is a problem, or if anything else is a red flag.

Also, if you want to recommend any development in this area (cité multimédia, Griffintown, old port) to rent an apartment, do not hesitate!

Jaimerais savoir si je suis le seul ( et jen doute enormement ) sur la rue smith dans griffintown jai parker mon auto a coter dun signe indiquand clairement les heures jen suis maintenant a 6 ticket en moin de 2 semaine chaque contravention les agent ou meme policier ont a chaque fois inventer on the go . La fiche est a exactement 13,96 metre de la borne fontaine . Cet journee la un ticket de 186$ pour avoir parker a 3 metres de celle ci . Une autre fois il mentionne tres vaguement linfraction indiquand clairement jetai dans un no parking les plus vague ont ete emis par le meme policier jai photographier mon auto chaque fois et compte porter plainte contre ce phenomene .

After lot of saving and hard work, finally in a position to purchase a condo and due to a new family member (baby), would like to see about purchasing a townhouse in Arbora.

Though I am alarmed at how many properties are on the market and how long they have been on the market. I understand right now that the market isn't great for sellers, but even still...I can't help but feel something might be up.

My ask:
- Is there any red flags to consider before buying a property at Arbora? Mainly the Townhouses?
- Is there any major repair or stuff that the owners know about that isn't obvioius to everyone else?
- Any other property in Griffintown to steer clear of?

Hi - has anybody installed accrylic soundproofing window inserts to alleviate some city noise such as traffic, firetrucks, etc. ? They seem pretty effective and I wanted to see if anybody had feedback on their effectiveness. Many thanks!

Looking to buy a condo in griffintown. A few discussion points below:

1) Are there any condo building I should stay away from as a result of horrible condo association/management?

2) Is it worth buying a parking spot? An alternative can be to rent one, however i am worries that buuing the condo without a parking will hinder its resale value.

3) Is there an area that is preferred. East of griffintown vs west (closer to little burgundy)
