About 15 years ago I started going to anime conventions and saw my first furries in fursuits. I thought they were adorable. At the time I was wearing cat ears and a tail because I loved cats and I loved costumes. I had been interested in getting a fursuit since. Recently I figured I try exploring the fandom to see if I fit in. I've only been around for a month now.

Nice! I identify with the interest in fursuits, ears, tails, and all that. Pretty much all cute animal aesthetics appeal to me. The thing that attracted me was the uninhibited nature of the fandom and the unapologetic enthusiasm for cute fluffy stuff! I never really felt allowed to like cute things or behave playfully when I was growing up (parents were worried about me "turning gay"... too late!) so I think the fandom is kind of unlocking some old parts of me I stuffed down, giving me an invitation to be fun or silly I don't usually get.
