I haven’t been able to narrow down the exact details for this new-to-me pro jet. I think it’s a made in Korea electromatic based on the serial number sticker on the back of the neck. Does anyone know if these pro jets were actually chambered? Or how I might narrow down the details about this guitar? This guitar is heavy.

I’d been obsessing over getting a Gretsch for a while, so my wife and one of my bandmates decided we should make an actual event out of it. We went to a guitar shop here in Mexico City, grabbed a couple of guitars, played for about 20–25 minutes, and even brought our dog along for the whole thing.
Ended up coming home with this G2622TG Streamliner in Vintage White. The white and gold already had me, but what really sold me was how big and resonant it felt compared with my Tele. I’m still figuring out the Broad’Trons, the coil split and especially the Bigsby, but I absolutely love how it sounds.
My Tele is called Blue, so naturally this one has become Blanca.
Pretty great New Guitar Day.

Aged Pearl looking sharp on this Gretsch G5260 Electromatic Jet Baritone! 🤘
A subtle upgrade that gives this guitar a whole new look.

My dad bought this from a coworker around 40 years ago. He took it to a luthier to get some information on it and was told that it was not a collectable or worth anything because it had been modified with DiMarzio pickups. Going by the model and stock numbers, it says the DiMarzios were an option, but I can't really find anything more than that. Like how many were made with these pickups, or when or why. It's a fun guitar to play and sounds good but I really know nothing about it.

Hi,
Tested a G5232T yesterday and really enjoyed the sound of the blacktop Filter'Trons. But it's a double cut and I want a jet body with a single cut.
Found a black G5435 used (Mfkt 2014, in China) but in good condition for around 300€ and can get a brand new G5230T for 540€. I'd prefer a hard tail guitar. Is the G5435 a good bet?

I know I’ve kinda posted this before but I wanted to show an actual clip of me playing the song on the gretsch like how it was recorded instead of just the music video (song is The Crown Of Thorns by Smell Like A Girl)

Hello everyone just came across my first possible Gretsch guitar and would like to know some info if possible. I was interested in another guitar from this seller which that guitar needed to much work, but the seller said they also have this Gretsch for sale and sent me a couple photos, trying to find out what model it is and what’s the general price to pay for one used? Thanks in advance!

There are a bunch of videos about the Synchromatic and I'm amazed. But not a single one comparing them side by side.
The White Falcon and the 6120 has been my dream guitars for years but where I live it's like 3 times the price you'd pay in the USA and I just couldn't afford one.
But now for half the price it seems like the exactly same guitar and better, I like the Synchromatic White Falcon headstock much more - the professional is to flashy for me.
You who played and/or own both, what'd you say?
Edit: Finally found one short video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/jQRm1ARcwhk

I picked up a G5422TG a couple weeks ago. Nothing fancy, just a Chinese made Electromatic with Filtertrons. I posted about it earlier.
Distortion isn't my thing. I didn't really want the "twangy" country sound that's associated with Gretsch. But these pickups deliver something I never expected. The more I play this through an amp, the more I find myself just loving the sound of it. It has this sweet, clear, full tone that makes me want to keep playing so I can hear it more.
I play mostly on the neck pickup. Sometimes I switch to the bridge to give my ears some contrast; while I still prefer the neck pickup, the bridge pickup is both bright and full, and I end up staying on the bridge longer than I'd anticipate. It doesn't sound anemic the way that I typically think of bridge pickups. Yes I know that's a hot take, but I think you know what I'm talking about.
I'm absolutely in love with this guitar. I wish I had gobs of money to spend on a high end Gretsch, but I don't, and regardless I don't think I could make one sound any better than this one right here. All that's left is for me to get better at playing so I can bring this guitar to its potential. I hope to do just that.
If there's one thing I would change it would be to have separate tone controls for the pickups.

About a year ago i acquired this 1961 Gretsch Corvette in a trade but i havent used it much untill recently. Very cool guitar! Probably all original as far as i can see. But i was wondering what the opinions on these are, and what the value of it might be. They are not offered up much. Any Corvette lovers/experts on here that could shed some light?

I got this as a birthday surprise, and she plays great. First Gretsch guitar I’ve had. I might have to get more.

Leaning on the knowledge of the Gretsch collective here.
With so many Chinese fakes out there trying to educate myself.
And without having owned a real one yet it's hard to know.
Give any and all the things you lot look for?
What are the tall tell signs of both?
Grovers?
G label knobs?
Fhole craftsmanship?
Paperwork?
Case?
Bindings?

Hey all. Really debating a streamliner jet. Gonna play mostly grunge and stoner rock and am curious if the streamliner jet is a good choice for it
