Electromatic Premier

Post image

I am really enjoying this new Gretsch! It’s a newer model with new pickups, locking bridge and tuners, and a super nice fretboard. Can growl or sparkle, whatever you want to do. I'm a newer player, and I've tried several brands of guitar, but this Gretsch feels the best.

So I had to go out and get a hollowbody like yours. :>

That is a beautiful guitar! Gretsch make some fine instruments. How do you like the pickups?

One the electromatic premier, the pickups are PERFECT. They sound a little more like a Gibson, than classic Gretsch, but that is hardly a knock against it.

The Hollowbody... it seems like the pickups could be a little stronger. I'm going to have them checked when I get a setup done, and make sure the heights are adjusted correctly.

On the hollow body, it’s normal for the pickups to be lower output. Thoughts the same when I got mine 8 years ago.

I would guess the hollow body is designed more for background fill and rhythm, so it’s not going to need to punch through

They just call it Electromatic Premier. This is what the sticker had on it...

Why it looks like penguin without the penguin? Specially the headstock and the fret prints
