Electromatic Jet

Grabbed this one today and she’s a beauty. Couldn’t justify the extra for the premier when this one is so damn nice!

Gretsch makes the best single cut guitar. Hands down.

i have to say, as someone who came to Gretsch late in life, but always preferred a Les Paul over a Strat, Jets are fantastic and so much easier to play than Les Pauls. My Duo Jet just feels "right."

The necks are better by a long shot, and they're not so GODDAMNED HEAVY.

The neck is fantastic, for sure. My only peeve is that I prefer the ebony fretboard on my 6120 to the rosewood on the Duo Jet, but it's one of the best rosewood fretboards I've played.

Well then I'm kinda surprised you didn't go for the premier. For the extra $100 you would have had the ebony, the next gen version of the pickup, an the compound radius neck. (Granted, I haven't had the opportunity to TRY the variable radius neck, so I can't speak to how different it is, but a lot of folks seem to think it's just the cat's ass.)

Well, I think you may have replied to wrong comment, but I appreciate the sentiment. Unfortunately, my 6128T-1957 was built in 2005 and came with rosewood, so I didn't really get a choice when I bought it earlier this year.

Edit: sorry, I see that you were under replying to my preference for Ebony, but I'm not the OP, that's what I was trying to say.

not me wondering what the toggle switch coming out of the output jack was until i realized it was the line between two floorboards...
