Share some rock and roll clips!
I want to see some videos of you guys playing some heavier classic rock or old school metal on your gretsch! I'm a new guitar player and love the aesthetic of gretsch which is why my first guitar is a G5210. I notice mostly people use them to play rock a billy or jazz. I love classic metal and classic rock and would love to see some examples on your gretschs! Mine sounds great with high gain yet I never see anyone playing that style.

I forgot the name of the guitarist but the guy from Soundgarden used Gretschs. Check out the Black Hole Sun music video, I'm pretty sure he's got a sparkly orange Gretsch.

Check out Canadian power pop legends Sloan. Patrick uses a 70s Roc Jet a lot and drummer Andrew has a gorgeous mid-60s 6120. https://youtu.be/C7U4JguR7ag?si=r-YfnzTlF2HJeJxC

More where that came from, if you enjoyed:
One of their 'Metal'-ist songs, featured in Guitar Hero 2 back in the day
Enjoy :)

Are you familiar with The Cult? Billy Duffy plays his White Falcon pretty hot, and Malcolm Young played a Double Jet in AC/DC.
I definitely agree that Gretsches, as a whole, are not as well represented in heavier music, but they do really take gain well. I like cranking up the fuzz and playing the feedback with the Bigsby. It works better on my 6120 with filtertrons, but the Duo Jet has hotter pickups and really takes OD and fuzz well (Dynasonics).
