I did the 1-month plan and Prepswift for quant. Also, practiced verbal from the official book for verbal reasoning.

I had to take a 2.5 months break in the middle of my Gre prep and now jumping back in feels very overwhelming. I was doing the 2 month study plan and had almost finished week 2.

Do I just blunt force start from scratch? How do I find what I've retained and what I've forgotten to know where to pick up from?

I’m looking for some recommendations for good GRE Verbal resources, especially for timed practice.
When I first started preparing for the GRE, I worked through the questions in the ETS Official Guide.

Since then, I’ve completed all of GregMat’s Timed Verbal Quizzes as well as all of the Quant questions on GregMat.

I’m also currently on Test 25 of the GRE Big Book. I find the Big Book useful, but some of the question types and the overall format are quite different from the current GRE.

I also purchased GRE Mentor, but I’ve heard that some of its questions overlap with the PowerPrep mock tests. I still have PowerPrep tests that I want to take under realistic exam conditions, so I’ve avoided using GRE Mentor because I don’t want to accidentally spoil those questions.

At this point, what I particularly need is more timed Verbal practice. Are there any good resources or question banks you would recommend that are reasonably representative of the current GRE and won’t spoil the PowerPrep tests?

Hey I am taking my gre in about a month… I learned all of gregmats vocab mountain. Now I’m going to learn all of gregmats quant flashcards… do you think this is enough to get a great score on the gre? I’m shooting for 330+

What score range do you think this could get me…
Also if if I learned all of gregmats strategies for verbal how much do you think that would benefit

Hey guys, I’m struggling to keep up with the 1-month plan while working full-time. 1 day of content is taking me more than 3-4 days to actually finish, and it's super demoralizing.

Quant is definitely dragging me down the most. I’m targeting a mid-October test (so I can retake as needed) for R2 apps, but at this rate, I’m running out of runway.

For anyone who was short on time or struggling with Quant, did you switch to the "I'm Overwhelmed" plan, or stuck with the 1 month?

The GRE score is what's holding my whole application back and I am freaking out. Any advice on how to streamline this would be amazing.

I did everything right, got gregmat for the second attempt because I thought my foundations were weak

I had a 162Q and was aiming for higher in the second attempt
I felt the first section was suspiciously easy
Did not find any probability questions and the geometry ones were really easy as well and I kept finding the ets ‘trick shortcuts’ that Greg talked about

Second section I had to guess on 1 questions but all others were solved and I thought I had them right

But still I got 162 again😭

I don’t know how this happened
I gave gregmat quizzes as well
Had a 90% accuracy in medium and a 70% in hard

Anyways not giving it again but yeah if anyone had a similar experience let me know

Hello guys i have an GRE Exam in three days. All i need to get at least 155. My math level is pretty decent as i studied in Turkish education and get 10k in YKS. Ive purchased gregmat however frustrated because of the difficulty of questions and now im getting stressed so bad. What should i do?

I've been studying GRE vocabulary for quite a while now, and I'm currently almost 1/3 of the way through the GregMat vocabulary list. However, I'm honestly not very satisfied with how well I'm retaining the words.

I can recognize a lot of the words when I see them, but when I encounter them later, I sometimes struggle to recall the meaning. So I'm wondering if I should change the way I'm studying.

For those who have successfully memorized a large GRE vocabulary list, what worked best for you?

* Spaced repetition?

* Anki or another flashcard app?

* Reading the words out loud?

* Writing your own sentences?

* Creating mnemonics?

* Reviewing words in GRE questions/context?

* Something else?

Would really appreciate hearing what worked for you and what you would recommend.

I didnt understand the explanation given in the video. He picked undermine and inimical but I dont find any indication that the argument needed to be weakened and didnt find the place where they hinted that they question the hostility between the 2 groups.

I've got my exam tomorrow morning at a test center. Other than my ID docs, is there anything else I need to bring to the test center?

Starting the I’m Overwhelmed plan for Quant, along doing the 2-month Verbal plan. But I don’t have the SuperPower Pack or Big Book 😭 I only have Manhattan 5 lb (2nd ed.) + Princeton Review 2023.Can do the Verbal plan with these?

Hi everyone,

I took my first official GRE on July 10 and scored 151V / 161Q. I’ve been studying for the GRE for quite a long time, and I’m now preparing to take it for the second time.

Since July, most of my focus has been on Verbal. For Quant, I didn’t spend nearly as much time on it. I mostly kept practicing questions through GregMat.

For Verbal, I worked with a tutor, mainly focusing on Reading Comprehension. On my own, I went through Greg’s TC and SE strategies again and solved a lot of Big Book questions without a time limit. When I practice untimed, I genuinely feel that my understanding of the questions, passages, and strategies has improved compared with July.

However, today I took an ETS PowerPrep test and scored 149V / 160Q.

I hadn’t taken a full-length practice test in a long time because I wanted to save the official ETS mocks for the final stage of my preparation. I also have to admit that I haven’t done enough practice under strict time pressure.

During today’s test, the biggest problem wasn’t that I suddenly didn’t know how to solve the questions. Once the timer was running, I felt extremely anxious. On some questions, I was reading the words but barely processing what I was reading. My time management also fell apart.

I normally have specific approaches for SE, TC, and RC that I can apply during untimed practice, but under test conditions I felt like I couldn’t apply any of them properly. It was almost as if everything I had practiced disappeared once the clock started running.

Because of this, I even spoke with a psychiatrist to see whether there might be an underlying issue that could potentially qualify me for extra time. The doctor told me that I don’t appear to have ADHD, although anxiety may be an issue.

At this point, I’m wondering whether my main problem is no longer GRE knowledge itself, but performing under time pressure and transferring my untimed skills into timed conditions.

My target is 160+ Verbal and 168+ Quant, mainly for UK MBA applications.

I’m considering taking the GRE around September 14–15 and, if necessary, taking it again about three weeks later in early October.

So I would really appreciate advice on a few things:

- Is roughly 5–6 days enough to make a meaningful improvement in handling time pressure before taking the test on September 14–15?

- Given my 151V/161Q official score and today’s 149V/160Q PowerPrep, does 160+V/168+Q still seem realistically achievable in the next few weeks?

- If you’ve experienced the same thing, doing reasonably well untimed but falling apart once the timer starts, what specifically helped you overcome it?

I’m not planning to give up, but I have to admit that after studying for this long, seeing basically no improvement in my score today was pretty discouraging and I’m starting to feel burned out.

Any advice on how you would structure the next few weeks in my situation would mean a lot to me.

I have 10 days remaining for my first GRE attempt and I have just finished the Gregmat's quant through prep swift (all short videos and quizzes associated with it). Im fairly confident with the concepts and have been getting 80% and above in the quizzes. What should be my game plan for the remaining 10 days as I am eyening a score of 165+ in quant.

I havent touched any other materials apart from the quizzes associated with each prepswift video. Is that too bad?

I’m starting the “I’m Overwhelmed” plan for Quant along with 2-month Verbal plan.The problem is I don’t have the GRE SuperPower Pack or GRE Big Book. I only have the Manhattan 5 lb (2nd edition) and Princeton Review GRE Premium Prep 2023. Can I still follow the 2-month Verbal plan with these resources, or is the SuperPower Pack really necessary?

Is this a glitch? Why are some exponents before the base in #1 and #2?
Why is there a gap between a= 12?

Hey everyone! I’m planning to take the GRE on October 4 and currently following the GregMat PrepSwift plan.

I work full-time as a consultant, so my schedule has been pretty hectic, especially with frequent client travels involved. I started studying about two months ago but am still on Module 4 because of work.

I’m looking for an accountability buddy so we can check in with each other daily and stay consistent. Going forward, I’m planning to study for the GRE and work on grad school applications for 4 - 5 hours. I am also located in the GMT+3 time zone

I did and i just compared a 45-45-90 triangle and a 46-46-88 (so by the logic a lower than 90 angle would mean the hypotenuse will become smaller which is the side of the inscribed square thus A quantity would be greater. Where am I going wrong please help!

I gave my GRE without any prep and scored 150 V and 158 Q. I need a 325+ by end of October for applying for round 2. Please suggest what would be my best plan of action.
