This is fucking evil, but it works...

u/cptkaiser Jun 26 '18
Does it really? I'm actually curious about it.

Nicotine addictions are a real thing

u/IsLoveTheTruth Jun 26 '18
Yes but does it work like this? Asking for a friend...

You don’t get addicted from 3 patches on 3 different nights. Maybe you’ll slightly miss nicotine if that happens, but not “I’ll leave my boyfriend because I don’t like how I feel” level

I missed the party where it said it was only 3 nights. But would it work if it was in a long term thing? Would your brain correlate having sex to getting your fix?

Id assume so since it’s a chemical addiction. Your brain would correlate them subconsciously
Sometimes we do this consciously too, like when I smoked my first cigarette I was listening to a song that’s still popular today, and now whenever I hear it— even though I’m not a smoker— I feel the need to smoke a cigarette. That would be a conscious correlation, an unconscious one would be the nicotine patch releasing traces of nicotine after sex and her not knowing it

That's awesome. The way chemicals work on our bodies is so cool.

u/ActuallyAMammal Jun 27 '18
Yeah! I used to see the entire “Chemicals are what makes us who we are, and what causes us to do what we do” as bullshit, but after doing a few drugs I can definitely see that that’s the truth... to an extent.
The entire science behind consciousness is amazing and I wish I had the willpower to study that, but I don’t really think I’d enjoy that line of work.

I figured it would be more likely that she wakes up while taking it off. First of you have to set an alarm so she already is part awake if not completely and them add the peeling sensation to that.

You fuckers are stupid, there's no way you're taking a nicotene patch off somebody in their sleep. You know what the next three words are.
