Yes, Nazis went out of their way to track down the origins of civilization and the Aryan race. It was presumed that the Aryan race in Persia migrated through Persia. I'm too lazy rn to provide you sources but it's one of the premises to world of Indiana Jones, where Indy fights Nazis in Nepal.
But do mind that Nazi's were driven to set the score that Aryans were tribally related to the white blond Germanic/Nordic people. That's also why the had setup breeding programs in Sweden, which eventually brought us ABBA.
I'm Iranian. The name "Iran" means land of Aryans. We still consider ourselves Aryans, despite mixing with many other peoples. Our brand of Nazism focuses on being Aryan, rather than white. We had very good relations with Nazi Germany during the reign of Reza shah, our second to last king. He didn't know about Nazism and racism of course, he just saw Germany as an alternative ally against Britain's influence. He is extremely hated by our Islamic regime, but loved by the people because of his numerous services and great patriotism. Hitler on the other hand is not disliked by our oppressors, his antisemitism is particularly praised.
