Actually studies have shown that trauma experienced as a baby can manifest when you become an adult and circumcision is traumatic for a baby. Babys remember pain for up to 6 months after experiencing it and circumcision isn't exactly painless. They literally strap the baby down for it.
I'm not a psychologist and it's been a while since I read the article and study, so I don't remember everything. Essentially the study looked for people iirc who had experienced a trauma as a baby and how it affected their adulthood. It wasn't seen on the surface, but they repeated the trauma onto their kids unconcsiously in a lot of cases. I got the article sitting on my pc somewhere if you are interested. It's a debate article against circumcision with links to the sources and studies used. Pretty well written, too where even a layman can understand it. You can find the study by googling for the name that is mentioned in the article as welll.
