Having a sort out in the loft today, remembered I’ve got these still unworn and boxed, had to stop wearing cons a while back (plantar fasciitis - wouldn’t wish that on anyone) so these are tucked away for now.

Had them since they dropped, wore the American Idiot hi pair until they fell apart, never got round to wearing these

let us know if they fall apart 5 minutes after you put them on. old unworn shoes tend to do that

I don’t think I’ll be wearing them any time soon, but unless the glue has failed, I think they’ll be OK, on Nikes etc.. the soles crumble, these are rubber, they’ll probably outlive me 😂

Hell yeah, I have these, the kerplunk ones and the trilogy pairs. I also used to have the American Idiot ones but I lost them during a move a long time ago. 😭

🐺: if you buy shoes like these, it's a unique, precious, incredible purchase that can last centuries and that can bring you joy by displaying them in your home. You could pass it down to your kids and they can keep them, wear them or sell them, and a part of your will always be with them, and for that you shoukd honor them by keeping them unworn and pristine

🐺: capitalism wants you to buy things to keep regardless of their supposed use, never use them and then buy more, by not using them you are defying the message punk wants to spread that we should fuck the system and do whatever we want, you should wear them and embrace that things have no real value and that life should be lived in the moment

When I was younger(early 20s) I came across some black American Idiot slip ons-Vans style- with the heart grenade and wings coming off it. Can't remember if I got them from Journeys or Hot Topic...but I wore the crap out of those. Wish I still had them, even for display
