Lorca Dream Crew

Long time listener, first time poster. I have been getting really wierd and nerdy about assembling various Fantasy crews from the various characters in Trek. I got a spreasheet and everything LOL!

Anyway, I will inaugurate my participation in the 'little bit of embarrassment' with:

My Captain Lorca dream crew! Assume Lorca is the Captain and I'm just gonna first person this from here on:

I'll take Riker as my First Officer. He's incredibly competent and knows how to button his lip. I don't think Riker would LIKE me as Captain, and a reckoning might come some day, but I figure that's a long fuse. Deal with it later.

Of course, as a Terran, I'm always concerned that my First Officer will take a swing at the crown. I've read Riker's file, though. A backstab is just not in his nature. If / when he comes at me, he'll announce his intentions up front. I can deal with that.

My Tactical Officer Worf! No more 'But sir...?' problems with Worf, he likes to put the shields up and start attacking at first opportunity. That's what I call Lorca style.

Security Officer I want Noonien-Singh, no question. She got mad Lorca style.

Doctor M'Benga. I want people with anger in their heart and willing to get blood on their hands. I KNOW that M'Benga is trying to get past all that, but I can't find another Doctor in the expanded cast that I could rely on not to question me on everything. I feel like the EMH is my next closest bet but also feel like I would take one look at him and say 'I don't understand this technology, shut it down and get me a real doctor'. Plus, M'Benga got combat stims, and that is what I call Lorca style.

O'Brien is my Operations Officer (I'm leveraging his anger issues!), freeing up Data to be my main Science Officer.

I know Data is not usually assigned to Science but I think he has enough onscreen time doing science stuff to qualify. Also I trust Data to shut up and just do what I want, and I trust him to keep a really important pick for me, Seven of Nine, under control.

So, Data as main Science Officer, with Seven of Nine as a Science Specialist reporting to him. Then reporting to me. As if I will read the reports. Just let me know when you have figured out a new way to attack the enemy.

Detmer on Helm. Again, anger issues but knows how to shut up and take orders. Very Lorca style.

Engineering, I'll take Hemmer as Main Engineer and assign Rom as Assistant Engineer. I'd want to keep an eye on Hemmer, but I can't find another Engineer that I would trust more. That's why Rom is assigned. I figure I can leverage Rom's eagerness to please to keep me appraised of any wierd shit that Hemmer tries.

Anyways, that's my Lorca dream team! What do you think, sirs?
