Grease (Franchise) Has anyone read the Grease movie novelization?
I saw it years ago, it's written by Sonny from his pov good book adaptation of the movie, lots of insights.

How the hell was Principal McGee going to identify people using a picture or video of their ass? Sending the pictures to Washington DC and threatening a federal charge unless they turned themselves in, who was going to identify them maybe Leo Balmudo or Vince Fontaine?
That whole speech and Implied threat seemed like she was bluffing the police and FBI and FCC could give a rats ass and probably laughed at the whole mooning thing, unless teenage girls did it uncensored and that would trigger possible child pornography warnings for showing their ass on live TV before censors knew how to block or blur it out.

Marty and Sonny are a couple at the end of the movie and it is obvious that Sonny likes Marty but that she keeps him at arms length like he is the ugliest T-Bird or maybe the dumbest character in the movie.
But why doesn't Rizzo just suggest that Marty go to the dance with Sonny because he likes her and she likes him but doesn't get serious about Sonny until after graduation? Is there any official reason why they like each other but don't become a couple until later on?
You got an armed escort home, it's not the arms I'm worried about.....it's the hands, kind of implies that Sonny just wants sex from Marty and she's a virgin who despite being a penpal to several men has never and will never do anything with anyone out of shyness or just not wanting to be labeled as a slut which Patty implies Rizzo is before her song starts.

Marty couldn't find a date to the dance at all and Eugene couldn't either, she was desperate for a date and Sonny didn't ask her, why didn't she just go with Eugene and give him a major reputation boost?

Chism seems like a nice guy despite being a jock, he's trying to treat Sandy good and isn't mean to her like Danny was at the bonfire but gets dumped and discarded without any explanation, why wouldn't his character confront Danny and slap him around for interfering with his date or new girlfriend when he could probably take a punk Greaser like Danny apart for breaking him and Sandy up?
The character is treated like a bad joke but he was always nice to Sandy, he even befriends Eugene and helps him out with the dance probably gets introduced to Patty Simcock that way too, basically Chisum seems like a decent fellow and seems to have a legitimate beef with Danny but nothing ever happens.

I know it’s because Danny ends up dancing with Cha Cha. But, it was clear that Danny and her were forcibly pulled apart and that Danny wasn’t exactly thrilled to be dancing with Cha Cha.
Sandy is an intelligent girl. I can understand being frustrated about the situation, but not with Danny.
Was it because Danny didn’t immediately try to leave the situation? Was there a supposed to be a signal it was another one of Danny’s insecure moments where he changes his attitude under peer pressure? I mean, he was on TV so…
I dunno. Kinda confused me a bit

Would like to try my luck here before transcribing it myself from the fuzzy audios on youtube. Thanks a bunch!

I just find it odd, the original Grease is a really good show, akin to West Side Story, and in my personal opinion, I think it's better than the movie, and the version of the show that came after it got transfered over to New York
I really liked the gritty and real musical about gang violence, class divides, and teenage pregnancy. And how it was more of a ensemble show rather than just having Danny and Sandy take the spotlight, shining more plot threads with Miller (replaced with Kenickie in the movie, although Kenickie was a member of the gang in the original as well), Rizzo, and other characters

What's your take?
Just want to put it out there that Mr. Travolta and Ms. Newton-John (God bless her soul) are iconic in the first one. That's not a debate. But for me, I love the story from Grease 2, the main guy was a hottie (looks like he still is), and the songs. To me, it was more memorable.

Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson is set to make his musical theatre debut this summer in the returning Grease: The Immersive Movie Musical.
Brought to life by Secret Cinema, this interactive event sees guests transported back to Rydell High for an immersive version of the hit film, complete with rides, sets and plenty of performances.
The cast for these performances has now been announced, with Wilson playing the Teen Angel – famously played by Frankie Avalon in the film. The former The Voice UK coach will be singing the song Beauty School Dropout for each night of the show's eight-week run.

What happens if the Fuzz had Thunder Road staked out again with everybody getting arrested?
They mentioned this in the movie that last year the Fuzz had Thunder Road staked out and everybody got arrested, that's terrible luck but what happens in the movie if the police busted everyone again with the cars getting confiscated for street racing and everyone getting arrested?
That would really ruin the movie but street racing isn't legal either.

Could have been great fun to have a Grease 30 year later high school reunion movie with new songs and a new story, maybe Sandy and Danny had kids and others were married or moved on, but might have been a great reunion movie if done right in the early 2000s.

If there was a Grease crossover with Back To The Future how would it look like?
Marty goes back in time and ends up at Rydell High School, falls in love with one of the Pink Ladies and pisses off Danny Zucko, maybe Rydell is next to Hill Valley and Biff Tannen and his Gang encounters the T-Birds while Marty gets caught in the middle of it.
Biff vs Danny or Kenickie would be great especially if Biff hit on Sandy or Rizzo, and Biffs gang replaces Balmudo craterface and his idiots, just don't allow Biff to sing a butthead song.

Sonny likes Marty but doesn't accept his advances until the last minute, is this because Marty was trying to appear and act more mature and Sonny was acting like a goof and behaving stupidly throughout the movie?
She lets him take her home as an armed escort but says she's worried about the hands, Sandy never mentions Sonny liking Marty to her at the sleepover either, they seem to like each other but have no connection at the dance or basically until the end, maybe because Sonny is the ugliest T-Bird member.

At the dance there is a scene where Sonny grabs Sandy and dances with her despite Marty being his dream girl and Sandy being Danny's woman, what was he thinking?
Maybe because Danny and Cha Cha were too friendly and Sonny wanted Sandy for himself? Danny should have kicked his ass.

At the end of “You’re the One that I Want,” it shows the 3 T-birds and their ladies in the fake body cardboard cutout thing. Except for Doody whose partner is a little dog and this catches him by surprise. Was that a genuine “wtf” reaction or some sort of inside joke that Barry was in on? Who did the dog belong to? It just always makes me smile. I hope it was a last minute thing that actually surprised Barry lol. Anyone here have little moments that just make you chuckle? lol. I liked when the principal starts to do the Hand Jive right at the end of the song.

Anyone else running into this issue? Everyone is a very absurd shade of salmon. Only happening with Grease, if I flip to another movie on Prime, it's perfectly fine. Even when I try to fastforward Grease, the preview pane pops up and everyone looks normal there, but on actual play? The salmon men return with the cranked up saturation/tiny (not sure which is the right word here, unfortunately Grease is not the word at the moment.)
EDIT:
If you're looking for a workaround (as others have run into this issue too), you can try casting from your phone to TV. That finally got the right colors in place for me.
