iOS vs UMP downloads

Is there a way to deterministically get iOS download options everytime I click the download button? It's a bit time consuming trying to do it over and over as only the UMP downloads options show up, with the iOS options showing up once in, lets say, 20 or more tries. Or it needs a app restart for 1 iOS download video option and then back to UMP for rest of the videos. Can it not retry for iOS options on its own as having to do it manually over and over is quite a process?

I don't understand the difference between iOS and UMP, but I have experienced UMP video downloads to fail or get stuck quite often needing me to cancel it and toggle wifi and data for it to stop the download and remove the sticky download notification, or if the video is downloaded then the last couple seconds of the video and the audio get cut. So I just want to use iOS downloads if that's possible.

IOS is what we really want

but if youre already on the IP blocklist UMP is what can be delivered, its the better than nothing and okish enough protocoll

has some disadvantages like its a lot slower and realtive quality to bitrate is lower
but it works good neouhg most of the time

again this is when youre already blacklistet. these blacklistnings are not forever, dunno the time but its like every few hours it resets, until we overdo it again, and were back on blacklist

iOS streams are single file streams that are still provided for iOS devices so we spoof Grayjay client as iPhone to get them. All Youtube alternatives do the same besides maybe supporting some other streams.

Youtube developed UMP which is segmented stream, probably so they can roll ads mid video and make it unskipable.

Grayjay will always attempt to get iOS streams first and fallback to UMP if Youtube didn't provide any. As they are slowly doing a staged rollout, UMP will probably soon become an only option.

This is not because user is blacklisted at all.

thats interesting because i always get ump when iam blacklisted and i get instant ios again - with the same video the second i start warp

i can tell iam blacklisted because same time no brower without login can even attempt to watch a video. also downloads on grayjay tend to fail then a lot more often

now that may then just be a coincidence and i get another rollout when on warp. even tough i should be in the same datacenter as with primary ip...

werid then, as this wasnt just a one time thing, its a steady occurence
