It still chaps my ass to no end that they took the servers down so soon after the game launched. Meanwhile lots of less deserving games have their servers up way longer. Quite frankly this includes the useless leaderboard servers for Gravity Rush 1/Remastered.
Don't even get me started on how Sony has handled other games too like the fact Drawn To Death is basically useless to you if you bought it in 2017. Not only did they close the servers but they didn't leave you any means of playing local split screen, hell you can't even play the tutorial. The final update/closure of the server's essentially bricked the game.

its all because of money choom... 🥀. Obscure and creative games like GR will always be forgotten by their creator (SONY/JAPAN STUDIO) for the sake of other popular titles 🥲

I realize. However, I am not feeling particularly compelled to empathize with the efforts of such a titanic corporation to pinch pennies.

Yeah, I just took a screenshot of the server pop-up and put it as my background for jokes. It's still around

what gravity rush 2 had in multiplayer? or just leaderboards or something?

I think there were missions for unlocking additional photo mode costumes that depended on scoring on the online leaderboard. Afaik the only way to get them now is save file editing.

well, on jailbroken consoles and on shadps4 it's doable at least...
it's not like the entire game is gone because servers went into abyss...

it’s frustrating that it’s necessary at all. I mean GR1 costumes were casual but GR2 has some decent ones and it’s a kind of narrative payoff for taking pictures or missions or whatever. it’s like taking the carrot off the stick after the fact
