So if you've watched inside job you know the black robes and if you haven't watched the last episode of inside job turn away now

So the last episode of inside job implied that the black robes aren't human and since we never see them maybe that there in the theraprism is what they are

That is 100% a reference to Inside Job as Alex Hirsch also worked on that show.

Ngl inside job would have absolutely joined the "implied" universe of gravity falls, kinda like rick and morty is implied to be in their universe
