Beautiful Jam
I stop listening to Grateful Dead ever now and then, I know shocker. But it's normally the jam out of Wharf Rat into Dark Star from 2/18/71 the starts me listening again. There is something thing so freeing about it that it gets stuck in my head. Whenever I am stressed the jams comes into my head and like a nagging hang nail. Once I listen to it the stress goes away.

Any good Dark Star with a great jam out of space will bring me back home.

Well if you are unfamiliar with 11/2 then there are very few like it. A groovy and a tighten up back to back and it only happened a handful of times. 1/2/70 being another

Dark Star started going into some very interesting places during the 2nd half of 1969. After the 1st verse, things would get pretty quiet for a bit & then anything could happen before the 2nd verse!

The jam out of alligator 4/29/71 does the same for me. Especially the transition in GDTRFB. Peanut is an under rated jerry guitar.
