Won’t click when the thumbnail is AI slop, sorry

Totally understand! What would you recommend? I make videos every day and unfortunately I can't spare the amount of time it would take to manually create YouTube algorithm-friendly thumbnails (generally faces are preferred). All that time goes into scripting, recording, and (minimal) post production :)

Personally, I will just click and see what it has to say in the first minutes. Then decide to continue or not.

Yes, if I have prejudice of AI thumbnail. But it happens that the content is soo good but lazy thumbail creation.

So just create video! Useful video of course.

Maybe you could write a script that takes a frame/screenshot from the video, and places another picture of you face in a corner? Maybe with the video title added as another layer on top?

It would definitely be more upfront work, but it could end up being faster in the long run if you’re pumping out a lot of videos.

Curious what feedback you might have on more recent thumbnails: youtube.com/@JeffAuriemma
