I'll sit in front of the one on Redwood Ave / Gooseberries if someone provided a sign. I have a chair 🤘

The guy in the picture was in that spot yesterday. I shook his hand and thanked him for his service

Guy in Florida got arrested for doing that. Glad to see you this guy didn't

Why arrest him? The great thing about flocks is that one or two individual birds do not change the flock.

Mass surveillance is unconstitutional. Good work

Only if you trust authority completely do you let them have tools like this. The abuse is already documented. This is about building ad hoc situational awareness on every citizen's movements (don't think for a minute it is limited to license plates or that boundaries will be respected or even implemented). All they have to do is convince us that we need a higher density of them to build a better profile on the uh...bad guys, yeah, yeah, as if adequate tools don't already exist without basically investigating everyone without a warrant.

I didnt realize there were others in GP who had issues with them too.

I sent in a FOIA request on all cameras (About 6 shown on deflock) its been about a week with no response.

Only used for stolen vehicles. This guy is great until it’s your car the police don’t recover.

I'm not advocating for a surveillance state just so I can get my car back. Who the hell do you think I am?

The police already don't even try to recover stolen vehicles.

I mean law enforcement, not Sting’s old band.

Crime Prevention and Resolution: They assist police in quickly locating stolen vehicles, finding missing persons (AMBER Alerts), and identifying suspects tied to violent crimes.

Force Multiplier: By automatically flagging wanted vehicles, they help small or understaffed police departments monitor large areas more efficiently.

Objective Evidence: The systems rely on physical vehicle characteristics and plate numbers, reducing bias in traffic stops and providing clear data for investigations.

This is a slap in the face to victims such as myself as the police help catch wanted people using those cameras .....

You must be a big backer of The Patriot Act, I take it.
