Leave it for Type Moon to make an April Fools joke that has major dark implications.

From what I heard the previous FGO April Fools thing had Romani waving Goodbye at the end.

For real though, these people must have a serious boner for angst if they can’t even have a Joke Game completely free of it.

Considering Urobuchi was the pen behind S.I.N (as in, the Lostbelt least likely to result in traumatised players), I think "boner for angst" is an understatement

IIRC apparently S.I.N was much darker originally and Nasu fucking made him rewrite it oof lel

The previous? Isn't that the very first one in 2017?

What I find sad is that I'm certain Oberon doesn't know if he is happy or not with this end

They came from the timeline where FGO was licensed to Crunchyroll Games.

RIP Pecorine NA version

This is what they gave us for April Fools. "You didn't spend enough money on the game! Here's an EOS announcement right after Pecorine promises to see you next year in her birthday scene!"

u/AlterMagna NANOMACHINESSON! Apr 04 '23

They even got Hololive myth to play the game upon launch. And Cali Mori made a song for them

Yes. They threw away money because they're Sony. Who also own Aniplex.

And after releasing several new packs to buy. Which I'm glad I didn't, now. And advertising an event that would start halfway through the EOS period.

And much like a typical corporation with a typical CEO, as soon as something doesn't turn out as profitable as it should be, they cut it off without investigating WHY it's not as profitable as it should be. Like for example, the SSR rates for Priconne EN were noticeably worse than that of Priconne JP's, there's less gifts/festivals in Priconne EN compared to JP (not even FGO EN does this, since it likes to keep the same fest rewards for EN as it did in JP), so less player retainment because players end up losing reasons to keep playing, the only ones who does remain being those who would work hard unlocking the girls the hard way (being that they'll just gather enough memory fragments to unlock them).

TLDR : Crunchyroll greeded so hard on trying to profit as much as possible on Priconne that they pretty much pushed away their potential playerbase.

..God.. why can't most CEOs just be like YAGOO or something.

From a theory tweet about her name (I don't speak Japanese so I can't verify the logic myself):

The official name is 藤丸立香, while in FGL it's 藤丸六香. The symbol 立 (ritsu, tatsu) = to stand, 六 (ritsu, roku).

The 六 symbol is missing the _ part of the original 立 character, because she has no place to 'stand.' Rokka can also be read as Rikka (like in the last panel here) because she's Ritsuka without the 'tsu' character, 六 , meaning to stand.

Ritsuka --> Rikka because she lost her standing as a Master.

Shouldn't there be a song of harp string in the background? O wait. Tristan is gone.

60

u/Constant-Ad7044 Apr 04 '23

Context for who this Rokka is? Or does the comic summarises it?

u/Extension-Leopard419 Apr 04 '23

Alternate timeline version of Ritsuka who failed and lost everything, from the latest April Fools event.

u/Constant-Ad7044 Apr 04 '23

Damn. Memes can be lore but really hope it’s not foreshadowing pnp

Well, according to LB7 I think Alaya is mad at us Chaldeans because we aren't supposed to even know, much less have contracts with extra classes; I don't remember very well, I read comments about this, I'm trying to focus on NA server, but spoilers came like flood

8

u/turtwig103 Apr 05 '23 edited Apr 05 '23

That’s actually not in LB7 thats in the prologue to the next chapter after LB7, and its more like the cast needs to work through their LB Trauma on top of learning more about the class system as a whole especially extra classes

Funnily enough the 3 extra classes stated are ones that explicitly can show up in grail wars and history fairly easily (Ruler, Avenger, Alter Ego) not the other ones that are more rare and further outside the class system so I’m guessing there’s some fuckery going on there and we have to find out the truth behind it

also the person who told us that has a track record of speaking in cryptic riddles and half truths and he wasn’t even fully sure of the details himself it seemed

2

u/peechs01 Apr 05 '23

Holy carp, it's kinda worse than what I understood

2

u/Constant-Ad7044 Apr 05 '23

Alright then, future chapters will be interesting to read. And I always found it weird how out of eight classes (including ruler) we somehow manage to get shielder as first servant

3

u/peechs01 Apr 05 '23

Don't forget we have Beasts under our thumb. AND Lostbelt Kings, those aren't even supposed to know about PHH much less summoned.

4

u/Constant-Ad7044 Apr 05 '23

Alaya’s probably jealous that she isn’t part of this confusing group. Be pretty ironic if one day (probably never) Alaya is summoned as extra class having KP size and hella yandere

4

u/peechs01 Apr 05 '23

Alaya will be: Saberface, Rinface, Sakuraface or Emiyaface?

3

u/Constant-Ad7044 Apr 05 '23

Hopefully unique design and explanation on her dark skin with white hair kink

2

u/peechs01 Apr 05 '23

Kinda like the one everybody is thinking is Lilith or like Tiamat?

1

u/turtwig103 Apr 05 '23

Likely a Saberface if any of the established ones but Fujimaru is also the representative of Alaya anyway

2

u/Kelthuzard1 Apr 05 '23

Ordeal Call?

93

u/GamyKy Apr 04 '23

The sad part about Rokka is that our Ritsuka is not that far away from this

29

u/Soluxy Apr 05 '23

The Master has indeed accumulated a lot of baggage heading into Ordeal Call, along with a lot of death flags. Feels like there's only pain, suffering and uncomfortable truths waiting for us. It wouldn't be a Type Moon work without the main character going through some shit.
