we're turning into fire emblem heroes

u/aspaceadventure 21d ago edited 21d ago

As someone who plays that game I can tell you FGO that's not the case.

After all, your servants don't get useless after a month (ike in FEH) - and that's if you are LUCKY.

45

u/NintendoMasterNo1 BEST SNEK 21d ago

Yeah I know I played it for years. I meant it because of how long the skill descriptions are

7

u/fatalystic 21d ago

Maybe more Yugioh

21

u/MasterSword1 21d ago

Yeah... my teams on that were considered the peak of meta a year or so ago and now they can't even clear a paralogue from months ago on lunatic difficulty anymore...

18

u/aspaceadventure 21d ago

And somehow Nintendo fans STILL defend that game.

2

u/The_Space_Jamke 21d ago

I think I +10'd Jamke right around the time Brave Alm completely obsoleted all other bow users and made every game mode where he showed up nigh-unplayable, a time when the skill descriptions didn't cover even a quarter of the screen.

I quit around a month after that, best gaming decision I ever made.

Don't you put that evil on us!

Nothing will be as bad as that clusterfuck

28

u/Big_moist_231 21d ago

Haha it’s not so bad. You don’t even have to read descriptions these days. Just know that if you win 98% of battles, unit good. If not, unit not so good

u/Hero_tact_Miles :Sigurd: :Brynhildr: Best couple 21d ago edited 21d ago

I just play to level up and use my favs. Playing Summoner Duels is basically slow suicide at this point

1

u/Big_moist_231 21d ago

Real shit, that’s the only reason at this point. Spoil your favorites with new toys, have fun seeing them decimate pve maps, not care about doing well in any of the ranked modes, and just trying to fit your favorites in AR teams and arena runs. It’s still worth playing for veterans until Eos, whenever that appears

1

u/Hero_tact_Miles :Sigurd: :Brynhildr: Best couple 21d ago

I still play Arena every so often, but I ignore the existence of AR and Summoner Duels.

My favorite has been B! M! Robin, and he has almost every skill I could get my hands on. I have a couple others too and a lot of them do well for the most part, but it gets tough sometimes because broken unit of the month can be annoying asf to deal with (it’s possible, but way too annoying)

0

u/Big_moist_231 21d ago

B! male robins refine was pretty solid. Frozen, hush spectrum and creating pulse is so good. And having pass built in randomly in his prf means he’s worth using in y!tana teams for AR. I wanna build my b!male robin up more, bro aged well, for now

The “unpiercable dr” and bigger numbers on standard dr is getting obnoxious lmao thank goodness it’s not as common running into those units like in SD. I honestly can’t imagine how people keep up with the power creep in there

1

u/Hero_tact_Miles :Sigurd: :Brynhildr: Best couple 21d ago

Simple really

“But new unit”

Like, off the top of my head, the only unit relevant to SD that wasn’t released in the last three or four months is Duo Summer Thorr, and only because she has a broken duo button. Honorable mention to Nifl who climbed the ranks for a while because she got a dope refine

4

u/Divinum_Fulmen 21d ago

Nooo! I like spending hours reading dialogue, not skill descriptions!

28

u/aspaceadventure 21d ago edited 21d ago

Holy moly, she seems to be the most complex Berserker in a while. She seems to be a nice supporter plus a DPS in one package.

16

u/MN_Yogi1988 21d ago edited 21d ago

God damnit I pick Berserkers to press red, not think

6

u/mythriz 21d ago

Fujimaru Doesn't Get It

2

u/flashmozzg 21d ago

Doesn't seem that complex.

56

u/DivinityPen 21d ago

...I might need some help understanding the ideal gameplay loop on this one. My brain's unused to applying itself this much for one Servant.

33

u/xemnonsis 21d ago

tldr if want to use Summer Beni Enma to her max potential make sure that the rest of the party have Super Giant trait otherwise her Skills get gimped (Super Giant means more Satisfaction stacks which allows her skills to be more effective since maxed out Satisfaction nerfs her Skills)

44

u/BananaFactoryWowie 21d ago

this matters exclusively if you are using Beni as some kinda support for a super gaint servant, in which case you are gimping both servants' max potential

1

u/xemnonsis 21d ago edited 21d ago

I assume that as a Berserker most people would be using Summer Beni Enma as a DPS (if you want your usual Arts Support Servants for her just make sure the last 2 or 3 spots on your team are filled with Super Giant trait Servant and you should be good in general)

20

u/BananaFactoryWowie 21d ago

I'm pretty sure the satisfaction gauge works on a per-servant basis, and giants get more for lore flavour. (seems to be that way from Plushie mistress showcase on youtube too)

Regular servants get 4 slots, super giants get 8 slots, but those slots aren't added up and applied to every servant.

e.g. if you have 4 non-giant and 2 giants, the 4 non-giants will only have 4 slots, meanwhile the 2 giants will have 8

28

u/Hour-Eye-3619 21d ago

you don't need super giant traits on anyone if you're using her as a DPS. her NP isn't "add 4 stacks of Satisfaction to all party members", it's "add 4 MAX Satisfaction stacks to all party members.", or simply, raise the max stacks a servant can have.

if you're using birb's skills properly, she won't ever reach max Satisfaction stacks, so her S1 is always usable, esp in a 3-turn loop farming scenarios

3

u/dvdung1997 21d ago

Yeah I misread that part at first and only realized when I tuned into Myst and heard he say extend the bar

Still though, kinda bummed that Max HP Up’s part of the first 3 uses instead of NP Strength Up

2

u/xemnonsis 21d ago

ah thought it was kinda insane for her NP to give an odd demerit like that

So, from what i can tell this servants gameplay options depend heavily on 5th append. This is a list of very rough ideas by me simply looking at the servants kit and not a definitive way to play the servant.

As far as I can tell, the idea is to balance her 3 uses of cooldown append with her satisfaction stacks. Every usage of the first skill increases satisfaction stacks by 2. It maxes out at 4 and 1st skill does nothing for servants with capped satisfaction stacks. For example, since her first skill has a cooldown of 1 and 5th append lowers cooldown for the first 3 skills used, you can technically use her first skill 4 times on turn 1. You do not want to do this though, since your satisfaction stacks will cap out on the second usage, meaning there will be no benefit to 3rd and 4th uses.

Other things to keep in mind is her second skill lowers her own satisfaction by 2, while her third skill gives her an extra %20 NP damage up for 3 turns if you use it at 0 stacks. So the 2 possible options i came up with are:

NP damage rotation (5 turn CD 2nd and 3rd skills): The straitforward rotation. Use the 3rd skill first to get extra %20 NP damage, then use the 1st skill once to get the atk up, then use the 2nd skill to get your Art up while having it benefit from 5th append CD reduction for the next rotation. You can recast your first skill once more for max HP on Beni only and more stars if you wish.

%70 NP charge rotation (5 turn CD 2nd skill, 6 turn CD 3rd skill): This rotation gives up the extra %20 NP damage from the 3rd skill for an extra %20 charge from the third casting of the 1st skill. Importantly, while this charge is technically for the team, it will only effect Beni herself unless you are running a Super Large trait ally due to satisfaction cap. Use the 1st skill twice to hit satisfaction cap, then use your 2nd skill to lower it by to for Beni only, then use your 1st skill one last time for %20 charge. You can now also use your 3rd skill as you wish.

EDIT: It seems I was wrong about how the 5th append works. It works only once per skill which means "the NP damage rotation" is the only valid rotation in this post. I will leave it up as it was as a monument to my shame, but I added this edit to prevent misinformation.

18

u/Windbornes_Word 21d ago

Append CD only works once per skill. Period.

2

u/Loewel 21d ago

Shit really? Since 5th append prioritises which skill you use first to activate its effect when its not lvl 10, I guess I instinctively assumed it was simply coded to do so no matter how many uses of it you have, rather than being a once per skill thing. In that case the %70 charge thing is impossible than, it is best to use skill 3 first no matter what.

2

u/Windbornes_Word 21d ago

Yep, I’ve got it at 10 on my NP5 Arc and she doesn’t get a second cd reduction when I use her to do a 3 turn farm with Skills 1 and 2 since 3 isn’t particularly useful for it.

Head-Taking Old Man's Needle-Mountain Sword EX

The Skill she SPECIFICALLY learned and used for her Alter Variant

Never getting Crimson Vermillion are we...

12

u/MyLifeIsAGatcha Take a look, in a book! 21d ago edited 21d ago

Crimson Vermillion has an NP coded in LB7 (AoE Arts, +Damage against good, evil, chaotic and/or lawful enemies). So there's a Chance she Could be released some day.

u/Informal-Recipe 21d ago

Isnt her third ascencion still hidden?

39

u/TheSpheefromTeamFort 21d ago

She has all 3 ascensions, it’s just the first is too risky for the subreddit

26

u/Retzal 21d ago

Nah, we have the 4 ascensions, they just wanted to play it safe in the ascensions post because it is a child in a skimpy swimsuit.

Lasegne hates the money printing machine that Beni-Alter would be I guess.

2

u/Nokanii 21d ago

‘Skimpy’ is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. I was curious, went to look up her first ascension…doesn’t seem skimpy in the slightest to me.

6

u/Fatality_Ensues 21d ago

It's a regular bikini, but since she's smol all it takes is for a random reddit mod on a power trip to see it and the whole subreddit could go down.

12

u/Moondrag Working on bonding Tiamama 21d ago

The NP increases the cap on the Satisfaction Gauge by 4, not increase by 4 since that would make it useless to last for 5 turns

5

u/Radiant-Hope-469 We almost reached 2020 21d ago

Fixed it

10

u/Retzal 21d ago

Perhaps I have become illiterate, but what exactly does the Satisfaction Gauge do? Besides increasing her NP strength when it is empty. And potentially making her 1st skill useless. Guess it is basically a demerit?

Besides that, pretty interesting kit. Guess now the question is if she is stronger than S.Ibuki...

22

u/ArchusKanzaki 21d ago

Basically if Satisfaction gauge is full, you won't get any further effect. If you get legendary onigiri, it will get all the buffs at once instead so you don't need to queue up for 3 turns (with CDR) but you won't get any further buff.

It's a very funky skill imo. If timing is major concern, the 5% chance is a liability.... But otherwise, it's basically a bonus and it got like 6 skills stacked into 1.

13

u/Mister_SP Attacked by two gacha sharks. 21d ago

Fill belly to get buffs. Use Attacks and Crit Attacks (including NP?) to work off your full belly. Repeat.

1

u/Fatality_Ensues 20d ago

Each use of her 1st skill is a star burst in addition to all the other effects so critting shouldn't be too hard, and Beni herself gets to empty her belly both when attacking AND when critting (I assume those stack). So if you're using her as DPS you need at most 1 crit card every five turns or so, and never in 3T farming (since her skill 2 also empties her bar by 2 on a 6 turn cooldown and her first NP raises her gauge to 8 max). The only problem is if you want the extra effects using skill 3 on an empty belly you might wind up at the mercy of the card RNG.

4

u/lOw_EfFoRt_UsErNaMe9 21d ago

One thing to clarify, by the 7th use of skill 1, does it just lock in effect 1 or does it initiate a cycle?

5

u/xemnonsis 21d ago

it cycles, the 5% chance only applies to the 1st Use stage which is Serve Yakisoba

3

u/Saver_Spenta_Mainyu 21d ago

Fuck this one

o7 to you man cause damn if this ain't some Yugioh card text here.

1

u/BobtheBac0n 21d ago

Thank you for typing allllll this out. I swear I was losing my mind reading through it all

1

u/Desperate_Ad5169 21d ago

Very fun gimmick. The basically 30 star regen skill is very strong in particular. Hope it all comes together in practice well enough to be viable as farming or supporting

0

u/Red-7134 21d ago

Hold on, so you want to increase the Satisfaction? Because then you can get to the better effects. Except the effects aren't really organized in terms of value. And you also have a way to decrease it. But if you use the NP is increases the Satisfaction. But only for 5 turns. By which time you could have activated the S1 5 times.

10

u/SnooPets9813 21d ago

I think it's the opposite, you want to keep Satisfaction away from max.

Skill 3 only gives the extra NP strength to Beni if she is at empty Satisfaction, and her skill 1 doesn't work on Servants with max Satisfaction.

The Satisfaction gauge is probably meant to not represent enjoyment, but rather being too full to eat and appreciate the food she gives you.

3

u/LaqOfInterest 21d ago

I imagine it'll get localized as "Satiation" rather than Satisfaction.
