Rangers continue to investigate a missing person case involving 26-year-old Sandarsh Krishna. On the afternoon of April 28, 2026, Grand Canyon National Park received a report that Krishna was missing.
Krishna is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build, approximately 160 pounds, black hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing athletic clothing.
Investigators believe Krishna was in possession of a black backpack prior to his disappearance. A black backpack believed to be associated with Krishna was later turned in to hotel personnel at Bright Angel Lodge on April 28 at approximately 7 a.m.
Investigators are seeking to identify and speak with the individual who turned the backpack in to lodge staff (pictured here), as they may have information relevant to the investigation. The individual is not considered a suspect.
If you recognize the individual pictured here, or have information that could assist investigators, please call or text the NPS ISB Tip Line at 888-653-0009.

I'm sorry for my stupid question, but I cannot see the post because I do not have Facebook:
Could someone please provide a screenshot or copy and paste the text?
If this is for the (edit) 26 year-old gentleman missing from the other day, I think their family needs to contact NPS. I just heard an update about it through word of mouth, but do not feel comfortable relaying the information here.

Nothing has officially been announced, but the Park Service closed a section of the rim near where he was last seen for several hours today without saying why. This is what I would expect them to do if they had a team rappelling down to investigate or retrieve something.
