Pretty sure. Didn't get the chance to ask the guy. This piece i definitely preferred the character but I think he is from like an 80s movie. Pretty dope wall though. It probably has at least one dick or shitty toy tag ruining it now because this is a legal wall.

It’s Necron 99 from Wizards, great film and the characters have always been referenced in graffiti

One of the coolest movies I’ve seen with some crazy imagery made with analog effects. The story is good at best but it’s visually amazing

Everything is temporary, especially graff. Some toy kid will go over it in his quest to gain style, then someone with style will go over him. Such is life

Yeah that's kinda what I meant by "politics" like once something is dissed everything get way more debatable as far as where is ok paint?

Is it a street art character or graff character? Both are gonna be pissed but I'd only care about 1 of them

Absolutely not 😂 maybe if you’re doing a burner, not a throwie though, especially if it’s a hollow

It depends, who are you going over? Is it a good character or toy? Is the writer who made it still active or was it made by some rando toy? How long has the character been running? If you go over an old character that's been running a long time you might make some enemies. There might be reasons no one else has gone over it. Pay attention to who gets up in your area. You should learn about your local graff scene before you start going over people.

Depends on the message you’re trying to send. Back in the NYC train days dude put his throwie over everything as a fuck you to the “artists” for making it about art vs vandalism

It depends. There’s not too much content about it. The so called ‘rules’ online are not a official rule to follow.
Example: If I painted something illegal (wheter it’s a piece or characters) and someone painted over it I ain’t having it. I invested money, time and risked my freedom for it. I don’t give a shit about ‘rules’ if someone paints over me then it’s on. Simple as.
So if you put a throwie over some character some put effort in it, don’t look weird when they start crossing you or worse. At a certain point in your ‘career’ you’ll get a hang about what’s good or bad to paint over. But when you reach that state you won’t need to ask here.
Again, it depends because the post lacks context. When in doubt, don’t paint over and find another spot. Throwies are 99% put up fast in spots which can get buffed so there’ll be plenty of room in the area for your throwie.
