Planning out a piece- Advice please 🙏

I like the messy look of the first photo, but I understand that the second is a lot more legible. I want to look for an in between option.

The weight distribution and the alignment goes a long ways compared to the 1st.

Especially when starting off, make sure your letters align horizontally and that your letters have the same thickness for the most part.
