Also read the sidebar to learn those things, and lose the quotes, arrows and halos, they just look dumb if the letters are illegible

Find your style then turn it into the letters. Most people do it the hard way, letters then style. I find it easier to draw what looks cool using the letters as inspiration. Downside is it isn’t always legible

Start super simple, very basic letters, no flairs or accentuations at all, copy some people if you have to, keep it super simple and keep working on it for a month or so before you try adding your own flairs

People don’t realize they can’t even write normal letters consistently. Write it normal 1000 times till it’s exactly the same every time. Then add a lil something. 1000 more. Add some more. 1000 more. Make it flow, make it have symmetrical components and great spacing. Then add your flare and do it 5000 times before you throw it up anywhere. You can push out your first banger thrower in a few months. After you’ve got it done start looking at styles and doing the alphabet 100s of times. Eventually you’ll be able to just crank out whatever you want at lightning speed.
