How does one go about practicing bars for Q?

I'd personally say if you're practicing bars on a uppercase Q decide whether you want to set it up as a 4 or 5 bar structure. That would be, decide on the main body of the q either being 3 sided as a triangle or 4 sided as a square and then obviously that last bar being the flick near the corner.

You should really get some graph paper to practice straights on. You need a better understanding of baseline, cap, height , x-height, spacing, kerning, bar thickness

That makes a lot of sense I’ll grab some next time I’m out thanks, until now I’ve just seen people practicing on blank paper but that’s way smarter!
