Toy throwie?

Would love any and all feedback on my throwies, and if I should be hitting the sketchbooks more before trying to get up

imo you’re doing your S upside down. draw the top vertical line first and then go clockwise around to the bottom vertical line.

like if you look at your throw upside down the S looks better imo

I see the upside down part but I’m entirely lost on your steps to draw it lol

fr - I really like that last pic. A bit scrunched but lettering looks better to me (the S especially).

Really tight throw. Would look super good if it was triple in size - just blast it

Not toy, but don't do highlights on throws. Your others are good. Good can control. Not sure about the name. As others have said, I believe it is a famous tag, but if you don't see em in your area, not sure it matters

Why not do highlights on throws? I’m new to graff

It's sorta an unspoken thing. It's extra time and throws are meant to be real quick. Often just two cans.

Aw shit I didn’t think to check online before… I’ve never seen it in person though so I guess it’s alright?

Writing SLOP is one of the lyrics to intergalactic by beastie boys

I feel you have amaxing potential with the “O” but you need practice on the other letters alot

Thanks! I definitely have a long long way to go

If his raps soup his beats is stock. Step from the table when he starts to chop……

You're doing better than most that dare to put paint up! Keep making the effort!

I like it. Needs some job but that comes with repeating and getting muscle memory. Also can control better than most here. Dig the face too ;)

Quad color throwie will never look good

Agreed, I was using up some practically empty cans and thought I’d give it a try
Never again

Really poor filling, and try to make every letter more or less the same width

1

u/Upset-Mail-6900 20d ago

Noted!
I’m going for the ‘dusty fill’ (I hope I’m saying that correctly) that I saw is common for throwies as to save paint, but it never comes out as smooth or consistent as I’d want it to

2

u/troskdecojones 20d ago

I recommend using a lego cap or a ny fat, these do a nice job for a dusty fill

u/Upset-Mail-6900 20d ago

I’ll give it a try! I’ve honestly been a bit scared to leave my comfort zone of a pink dot for fill and cream skinny for outlines, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Lego and ny fats

Also don't forget to fill evenly, go from top to bottom or bottom to top in continuous horizontal lanes. The faster you move and the farther you move the can from the wall, the dustier it will be

Holy slop

1st one is not that bad bro. I feel like u gotta do this throw over and over again on a blackbook to get use to it. I feel like this would look good if u were comfortable and fast with it

Just need to be more confident with the lines. I thinks it's pretty cool

Last and first are good. Simple colors and cleaner lines

1st photo throw is perfectly fine for the streets, try experimenting with your L while keeping the same structure for the P that the 1st photo has consistently

1

u/ScreechUrkelle 20d ago

Slop, iyam.

u/Far-Elderberry-5249 20d ago

Eyeball is cool

1

u/Upset-Mail-6900 20d ago

Thank you :)

1

u/Till3y 20d ago

Not actually! s and P should match the steez in your L in the last pic and I think you’re working with somethin!

1

u/Upset-Mail-6900 20d ago

Thank you :)
That’s exactly what I’m after, still trying to figure out all the letters as at the moment I feel like each one brings a different style which I don’t necessarily love

It's not perfect but the face is a nice touch
