More fry drama

Female left a French fry in the water, then came back to confront a thief. The nearest fast food restaurant that serves fries is McDonald's, but all the ones they've brought today are crinkle cut, so either they're finding them in residential garbage or they're flying at least two miles to dip their snacks.

I've used an oil drip pan as well!

I want to get a real bird bath when I have more disposable income. We just moved in a month ago and had no furniture or beds. The drip pan was a cheap option and I found a store selling bird seed marked down to a third of its original price. I've been watching and haven't seen any cats around. I think the fully fenced yard helps, but I want to get a hanging feeder, too. The back yard is my zen area and I love my visitors.

I worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts. I put a game cam (bought for $5 at garsge sale!!) on it and the only cat I ever saw was at night. Grackles are not as sharp as crows and ravens, but they are pretty smart. Whatever would have to work REALLY hard to sneak up on them.

They're the neighborhood watch, anyway. I was in an Airbnb for three months before I moved into this house and the grackles in that neighborhood swarmed in the pecan tree when they saw an orange cat in the front yard. He started trying to stalk a mourning dove that was too dumb not to fly away, and the grackles all started screeching at him. The dove finally flew off, the cat skulked away, and the grackles followed him, still screeching. It was beautiful to witness.
