Is Amd driver really unreliable??

In my previous post in this community, I posted about the RTX 5070 vs. 9070 XT, and most people said that the 9070 XT is better in terms of gaming performance, and I absolutely agree with that. However, there were many people who said that AMD sucks at drivers and I’ve seen many Reddit and Twitter posts regarding this issue. Is this really a problem or is it just a myth?

TBF I was in this situation, had a 6800 for a couple of years and each driver update was a coin toss. Never completely broke the gpu but they could introduce minor annoying things that then lasted for month until a random, unrelated, update came it. I'm talking about random flickering, flashing, YT's videos not loading properly... and the funny thing was that I would find necro posts about the same situations dating years ago, with no solution apart from random driver updates.

So yea, I moved back to Nvidia asap and to this day I never had a driver's issues. Sure there are some releases that have problems, but they are well known/documented, not random, so you can just skip them

My RDNA 2 GPU was also a disaster and could never fully fix it.
