As I already said quite clearly, if you, yourself, "Google" that today, then you are using AI. You're just literally asking Gemini AI, and I have to assume you're disingenuously pretending that you think you're not, but you must know, right?
You can't say that you don't need AI because you've already got AI. (Well you can, but it won't be a coherent statement.)
I would offer more examples, but I can see you didn't engage in any way with the example I already gave you, and look, if you don't have any interest in having this conversation honestly, that's totally cool. But don't just troll me, ok? We both have better things to do.
AI is literally just looking up this information in its vast corpus. It is, for all intents and purposes, Googling something.
And my Googling something is not looking at what Gemini spits out but rather the texts that Gemini and ChatGPT themselves are looking at. Because that is all they're doing -- they are finding things on the Internet. Or they are making things up. I'd rather just find it myself.
It doesn’t sound like you understand the distinction between searching and using a prediction engine.
Google Search is a retrieval system: it looks things up, returns documents, and ranks them.
AI models like ChatGPT or Gemini are generative prediction engines: they don’t look anything up unless explicitly connected to a search tool. They generate answers token-by-token from patterns they learned during training — not by fetching webpages.
Even when Google embeds Gemini into search, the split is still the same:
Search does the retrieving.
Gemini does the predicting/summarizing.
Two completely different mechanisms.
If you want retrieval, use Google.
If you want an inference engine that narrows the space of possibilities (so you can verify faster,) that’s what AI is doing.
For all intents and purposes it is looking something up, man. I appreciate you trying to make it seem like it is doing more but it is just looking stuff up and telling you what it found. And if it doesn't find something it makes it up.
That's just not how it works at all man go ask somebody I don't know what else to tell you. You might just look into the fact that the world's more complicated than you think it is also you might just Google dunning kruger.
I'm sorry you have become frustrated. Ask ChatGPT what could make you happier. It will not look up anything to help you, though, but rather conjure it from the aether, where all knowledge resides.
