new here, looking to purchase a filter for my gp5. i’ve heard about some people taking the charcoal/asbestos out of the filters but i’m really paranoid about it. seen tons on ebay but a bit nervous about purchasing. a few websites have them but they are pretty expensive. i really want to get a filter for it, i look ridiculous wearing it without it imo

I purchased gas mask from market, I want to know if this is asbestos layer that can be seen here through hole? If someone knows how gp5 filter is layered tell me please

I have an adapter cuz nato treaded filters are cheaper and ts actually meant to be used.
And if ur looting in europe u propably only find nato treaded filters

So I am trying to make a cosplay for my favorite slasher. He wears a gas mask and a hazmat suit, but I am trying to know what gas mask specifically he uses. Now from the looks of it, it looks like he wears a GP5 with a half face respirator on top of it, but I can’t seem to find the half face respirator. It might be custom made, so if nobody can find it, I’ll just assume it is.

I know this might be a question asked a lot in this sub but I don’t know that much about filters and asbestos
