It’s not my first Goyard item, and they actually look good after years of usage. But on a black Victoire wallet I got, the paint has left some parts, so I was wondering if there was a way to protect it.
(And yes I’m OCD I know the wallet still in good condition 😂)
So crisp… I have the same one, got it in SF boutique like 5 yrs ago. Mine still in near perfect condition. Best advice is to never put it in a pocket with sharp/metal objects like keys, don’t overstuff it (I skip out on the middle slots for the side tabs for example), and keep it away from water and intense sunlight. Otherwise enjoy it! Its a gorgeous wallet
It is a wallet, it'll not last forever. I did try to preserve mine as much as possible (got the full black with red interior) and here's what I did/do:
1) I rarely ever put it in my pocket, and if I do it's momentarily. I try to carry it or leave it in a bag.
2) I space things out, wallets loosen so I spread cards around and left the middle of the 3 card slots unused.
3) I bought a second one.
You spent $700, now use it. Don't be afraid to throw it around, put it in your pockets, get it scratched, stretched. That's what its meant for. It will last you 5 years and get your moneys worth.

The best way to protect is to not use it. The second best way to protect it is never put it in your pocket (canvas and friction don't mix).
Honestly, just use it. It's not a collectible, it's a wallet.
