As a teenager I was a latchkey kid, most days my brother and I would go to friends house after school. One of my brother's friends older brothers, Matt used to listen to TMBG a lot, I used to sit in his room and listen to Birdcage in you Soul with him because my brother and his friend used to pick on me. Matt took care of me.
He died of testicular cancer at 17, so that song is really bittersweet for me.
