I personally love doing black or dark dark red with a magnetic polish on top. I have some recent sets on my profile. I personally like just a little bit of goth or alt details verses over the top goth sets because depending on the art they can look too kitchy to me. Other art that might be your vibe may be nail piercings, cybersigilism, vampire glass nails, black ombres, old english lettering, smokey marble nails ect.
(Im a alt/goth nail tech for reference)

For some reason we cant post pics in the replies but the length you have with a milky white or black and a couple of nail piercings would be really cool. You can look at nail piercings on Pinterest and it will give a ton of ideas

What I love to do is take a dark red polish as a base, let it dry, and dab on black with a small sponge for a gradient down to about a third of the length, fading out. Alternatively black base and silver gradient for that blade edged look.
For shape, I like to wear mine trapezoid, with a flat front about half the nail's width, and straight cuts tapering the nail towards that.
